Here’s My Big Announcement
I’m going into the Truffle business!
I have had such great response locally from my teeny micro-batch truffle business that I have decided to go big or go home. Well, I’m already home but you know what I mean. My specialty truffles are going to be available for those of you who live far and wide, over hill and over dale.

Honestly, I have received only positive feedback after sharing my truffles but we are talking about chocolate, after all, so that should not surprise anyone. They are a unique melt in your mouth blend of chocolate and other natural ingredients, hand rolled and packaged by me.
Everyday I am working to improve and understand how to set up online shopping availability and all the other details necessary to get these delectable treats ready to ship to all you truffle lovers. I am hoping that I have everything ready by the holidays but as I write this I am sitting in the basement at my makeshift desk/kitchen with such intense pounding right above my head it’s difficult to concentrate.
We are having our kitchen remodeled and the start date slipped a month so I am beginning to fret. The contractor has said the job will take about 3 weeks but with the little I know about remodeling, even I don’t believe that estimate. I am 99% certain I am going to be basement bound until well into October.
Sadly, this is as creative as I have gotten with packaging so far…
Recently though, I came up with a new logo
This is the design I plan to be using on all my future boxes of truffles.
I have been thinking about taking my truffles to a wider audience for awhile now but the details are daunting. Don’t worry though everything will fall into place.
At least that is what I keep telling myself in the middle of the night when I wake up in a sweat.
That is why I decided to take you along for the ride. I am hoping you will help me through the rough spots and keep cheering me on
because I have already hit a few snags.
I have developed 6 super creamy and delicious confections for the launch but the most popular flavor hasn’t been approved yet. Unfortunately, my all-time favorite truffle, Milk Chocolate with Bailey’s Irish Cream requires special permits from Virginia ABC (alcoholic beverage control) before I can make them available for sale.
Locally, these have gotten top notch reviews from my taste testers so I am going to keep working on those permits.
I had to totally discard my Malibu Rum Coconut Truffles for that same reason: The alcohol content in those little guys was waaay too high but boy were they yummy! As an alternative, these taste exceptionally good using extract which is acceptable in chocolate and baked goods without special permits.
Yippee!
The 5 flavors I am really excited to offer when I am able to launch are:
- Sea Salt Caramel
- Milk Chocolate Mocha
- White Chocolate Hazelnut
- Rum Coconut Milk Chocolate
- Peppermint Mocha- tastes like Christmas!
I am hopeful I am able to have them available to ship by this holiday season 2022, but just in case you cannot wait until I launch, I created this Special Offer if you want to try them before anyone else.
