This Sriracha & Lime Sauce is your new awesome sauce!
It comes together so quick and easy AND it goes with everything. You are gonna want to keep some on hand in your fridge at all times so move over mayo!
Seriously, we have demolished hamburgers topped with it.
Liberally doused vegetables with it.
Dipped seafood into it. (Yes! This sauce pairs very well with fish)
Your very own homemade zesty condiment replaces that boring ol’ honey mustard and the ever present bottle of ketchup. You need just 10 minutes to combine 5 ingredients.
Mia came home from college this past Spring in love with Sriracha chili sauce. She had never been much for hot or spicy sauces before but could be that a little spice helps to enhance the flavor of typically bland tasting vegan meals. On the other hand, she simply may have fallen into the clutches of the Sriracha lovers’ fan club, of which, Ken, is already a member.
Because of Ken’s obsession with hot sauce we have numerous bottles of different concoctions at varying levels of heat in the house. They all have a different purpose, according to Ken, and he uses them liberally at almost every meal including something as simple as a fried egg at breakfast.
Out of all the hot sauces I have tasted, and I don’t have the nerve to taste them all, I find Sriracha the most palatable. The blend of vinegar, garlic and red chili paste is smooth and when I use it in small amounts I detect just a little heat. The blend of spiciness and actual flavor of ingredients is well balanced and so when a recipe calls for hot sauce I can confidently add Sriracha sauce and know it won’t be too hot for the rest of us to eat.
Looking for something a little different to add to your condiment shelf? Blend this sauce and store it in a jar in your fridge and spread this on instead of ketchup, tartar or even mayo next time and you will be seriously happy you did.
Take a few minutes and mix yourself up a batch of Spicy Sriracha & Lime Aioli and leave me a comment to let me know what you slathered it on and tell me you don’t need any other condiments.
